Tennis

Edgewood Valley Country Club features a tennis program geared towards players of all ages, abilities and goals. Run by Dan Shoop, our USTA Tennis Professional, the tennis program offers private and group lessons, as well as a variety of competitive tennis opportunities. A range of summer tennis programs are geared towards young learners to experienced players, and will help you improve your skills while competing against other players. Juniors and Ladies have the option of competing in travel teams and matches against other country club teams. Whether you are looking for ball-machine workouts, open play or social mixers, the staff can assist you in your tennis related needs.

The tennis facility consists of four clay tennis courts and a pro shop stocked with the latest tennis equipment. The staff is happy to provide individualized assessments and instruction, so don’t hesitate to contact the tennis shop.

Juniors: Junior assessments for program placement will be held at your convenience

Adults: Women’s Team Drills
Women’s drill and play for travel team members
9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Monday & Friday.
Women’s Travel Team schedule available upon request

Private Lessons: One-on-one instruction | Half Hour or Hour

Doubles with the Pro: A very concentrated doubles session for 3 players | 1.5 hours


 

Paddle Tennis

Starting in early 2015, a new Tennis/Paddle Complex is being developed for the enjoyment of the membership. The new building will house a Tennis/Paddle Pro Shop and social gathering spaces for players and spectators of all racquet sports.

This new facility will also introduce paddle tennis to Edgewood Valley Country Club, with the installation of 4 paddle tennis courts. The courts are expected to be open for play in January 2016.
